Building Resilience and Stronger Relationships

We’re learning just how vital mental wellbeing is to every part of life. While infant neuroscience highlights the importance of early development, it also reveals practical ways adults can build resilience —especially through greater self-awareness and stronger interpersonal skills.

Joiner Flourishing Pathway Workshops, grounded in science and social work, offer tools to enhance communication, relationships, moral reasoning, and overall wellbeing.

Workplace Communication, Relationships & Wellbeing:

A Workshop to Strengthen Your Team from the Inside Out

In today’s fast-paced and often high-pressure work environments, poor communication and strained relationships can quietly erode morale, productivity, and retention. Left unaddressed, these issues lead to increased stress, absenteeism, and turnover—costing teams time, energy, and focus.

This full-day, evidence-based workshop offers a proactive solution.

Designed for employees at all levels, this interactive session helps participants understand how their everyday interactions influence team dynamics, workplace wellbeing, and overall performance. It moves beyond surface-level training to create real behavioural insight and change.

Why HR Managers Are Choosing This Workshop:

✅ Reduces conflict and misunderstandings
✅ Improves communication and negotiation skills
✅ Builds stronger, trust-based relationships
✅ Supports employee wellbeing and resilience
✅ Aligns with engagement, retention, and culture goals

  2. Part 2: Communication

Practical tools to foster clearer, more empathetic communication and reduce day-to-day friction.

  3. Part 3: Wellbeing                                                                                                                                What are the elements of wellbeing are, how to have more of them, why we've been looking in the wrong direction

  4. Part 4: Bringing it all together                                                                                                              Participants explore how to embed what they’ve learned to create a healthier, more connected workplace.

Through small-group conversations and self-reflection, employees gain greater self-awareness, learn to manage difficult interactions more effectively, and contribute more positively to their teams. The workshop is grounded in research but designed for real-world application—making the learning both impactful and immediately usable.

The Result?

A more engaged, connected, and productive workforce—and a culture that supports performance and wellbeing from the ground up.

Empowering Schools Through Evidence-Based Wellbeing Workshops

Supporting Student Growth, Connection, and Resilience

As a wellbeing specialist with an interdisciplinary PhD in Infant Neuroscience, Wellbeing, and Ethics, I am passionate about empowering young people to thrive in today’s complex world. My expertise lies in equipping students with the practical tools and deep understanding they need to build resilience, foster strong and respectful relationships, enhance communication, and cultivate moral and emotional wellbeing—critical ingredients for success both at school and in life.

My secondary school workshops, which can be delivered in shorter frequent or whole day more intensive time frames, aim to strengthen communication and peer relationships, enhance students’ emotional awareness, build resilience and healthy coping strategies, and foster ethical decision-making. Each workshop draws on the latest scientific research and ethical frameworks, ensuring sessions are not only engaging but also grounded in evidence-based practice. By working collaboratively with school leadership, I align each workshop with your wellbeing priorities and school culture.

The core objectives of these workshops are to:

  • Strengthen communication and peer relationship skills, promoting empathy and mutual respect across the student body

  • Enhance emotional awareness and self-regulation, providing students with strategies to manage stress and navigate challenges confidently

  • Build resilience and healthy coping mechanisms, supporting students’ ability to adapt positively to setbacks and adversity

  • Support confidence, connection, and overall wellbeing, helping students feel valued and empowered within their school community

  • Foster moral development and ethical decision-making, encouraging reflection and responsible choices in everyday life

These interactive sessions are adaptable for various age groups and learning needs, ensuring every student can participate meaningfully. My approach is collaborative—I work closely with school leadership to align workshops with your wellbeing priorities, existing curriculum, and the unique culture of your school. Whether you are seeking to enhance your wellbeing programme, address specific challenges, or simply provide students with proactive skills for life, these workshops can be shaped to deliver maximum impact.

In partnering with your school, my goal is to help you cultivate a culture of wellbeing, where students are not only academically prepared but also socially and emotionally resilient, ethically grounded, and ready to contribute positively to their communities. I welcome the opportunity to discuss how these workshops can best serve your students and complement your school’s vision.

If you are interested in exploring this partnership further, I would be delighted to arrange a time for a brief conversation at your convenience. Please let me know a time that suits you best, or reach out directly to begin the conversation (see email contact below).

Holding Newborn Baby

Circle of Security: Building Belonging from the Beginning
An 8-Week Workshop Series for Parents and Caregivers

One of the most painful human experiences is feeling like we don’t belong. For infants, the sense of belonging isn’t just emotional—it’s essential for healthy brain development.

The Circle of Security 8-week workshop helps parents and caregivers better understand their own emotional world so they can more effectively connect with their infants. Through this connection, babies develop a deep sense of security and belonging that lays the foundation for lifelong emotional wellbeing.

Rooted in decades of research in infant neuroscience and attachment theory, this program offers practical tools and nurturing techniques to support your child’s development. You’ll learn how to respond to your baby’s emotional needs in ways that build trust, confidence, and resilience.

Workshops are run in small, supportive groups within your local community, offering a safe, friendly space to share, learn, and grow alongside other parents.
